The Pursgloves of Kirkdale - [LKDL]

Just south of Bootle in Liverpool, Kirkdale was an estuary village with an agricultural economy.  In early Victorian times the farmland was built up with terraced housing for workers.  The parish churches of St. Paul with St. Mary's were split and the parish is now under the guidance of St. Lawrence with St. Paul's

This part of Liverpool is undergoing redevelopment since 2001 and many of the terraces are no longer standing.
