The Pursgloves of Buxton - [BUXT]

Buxton is noted as a spa town and it is also the highest market town in England.  In Roman Britain it was called Aquae Arnemetiae.  Built on the River Wye, the town is situated in the High Peak.  It has many mining and quarrying businesses nearby and specialises in Limestone products.

As a spa town, it is well established with shops and markets and it has its own bottled mineral water.  There are many fine buildings, including The Crescent, the Devonshire Dome stables, the Pump Rooms, The Pavilion and Buxton Opera House.
