The Pursgloves of Hope

Hope is situated on the A6187 in the High Peak, on the road to Castleton.

The surrounding settlements of Aston, Thornhill and Bradwell are all easily accessible.  close by are Brough, Shatton and Pindale.

This is hill farming country and sheep for wool and meat have been the mainstay for a long time.  Close to hope is a large cement works, quarrying the limestone nearby.
