Non-Conformist Registers
All pre-1901 Anglican registers are available on microfiche at Nottingham Archives and the Local Studies Library.  The main Public Libraries with local studies departments hold locality records.
Most pre-1900 Roman Catholic registers and many non-conformist registers including Quaker births marriages and deaths are also on film or fiche.
Pre-1837 non-conformist registers held at the PRO may also be available at the Archives Offices.
Check out the booklet, Nottinghamshire Parish and Denominational Registers: A finding List for Family Historians, from the Local Studies Library or Nottinghamshire Archives.

Nottinghamshire Archives holds wills from 1858 to 1926 with an index.
Until 1837, wills for Nottingham were proved at York.  Such wills are most likely to be found at the Borthwick Institute in  York.  From 1837 to 1884, Nottingham was in the Diocese of Lincoln within the province of Canterbury.  During this time, many wills were still proved at York.  Most of the wills are on microfilm, including some where the originals are lost.
