The Pursgloves of Wartling - [WART]

Located between Bexhill and Hailsham, this was an iron smelting settlement in the 17th and 18th centuries.  The village is a crossroads of local routes.  There was a chapel mentioned here in Domesday.

The parish church of St Mary Magdalene is a 13th century building and it is linked to the church at Herstmonseux.
